You ever feel like you’re grinding away at something, but the universe is just standing there with its arms crossed, shaking its head?
👉 Do you double down? Or is it time to pivot?
That’s the question I’m putting to the test—starting 5 companies in 5 months before I turn 55. Some will take off. Some will tank. But I’m done overthinking. Instead, I’m taking action, learning fast, and figuring out when to push and when to change direction.
When to Push Through vs. When to Pivot
We’ve all heard it:
✅ “Never quit!”
✅ “Winners push harder!”
✅ “Success is just around the corner!”
And sure, sometimes that’s true. But sometimes? You’re pushing against a wall that isn’t moving.
The trick is figuring out: Is this resistance something to push through, or is it a sign to go another way?
How Do You Know the Difference?
👉 External challenges = Push through.
(New skills, better strategy, adjusting the timeline.)
👉 Internal resistance = Pivot.
(When every instinct is telling you, this isn’t it.)
This experiment is about trusting that difference.
Company #1: 3-Minute Hyper-Local News
The first company I’m launching is 3-minute local news for any city in the U.S. Quick, no-nonsense updates that people can actually keep up with. No fluff, no agenda—just the stuff you’d actually talk about with friends.
Because let’s be honest: most local news is either depressing, irrelevant, or buried under clickbait. I’m fixing that.
Why 5 Companies?
Because if you wait for the perfect time, the perfect idea, or the perfect conditions—you’ll never start.
Some of these will work. Some won’t. But every one of them will teach me something. And that’s the whole point.
Follow along if you want to see how this goes. I’ll share the wins, the faceplants, and everything in between. Because the trick isn’t quitting or pushing through.
It’s knowing which one applies.
